- Purchase a medical form at the East Mamprusi Municipal Assembly’s Environmental Health Office.
- Take the form to an accredited or government-approved hospital or clinic for testing.
- Doctors will usually test for diseases like typhoid (Salmonella typhii), hepatitis B, and tuberculosis. If you pass, the doctor will sign your form.
- Return your signed medical form and two (2) passport-sized pictures to the Environmental Health Officer at the Municipal Assembly.
- You shall Pay a small processing fee (typically between ¢50 and ¢100 depending on your area).
- You will be issued a Food Handlers’ Certificate or Health Card, which usually expires after one year and must be renewed annually.
- Restaurants and food spots must prominently display their issued Food Hygiene Permits. Street vendors should keep their health cards with them at all times.
