The primary aim of the Fiscal Decentralization Unit is to develop and formulate financing policies and funding arrangements for effective functioning of the assembly. A budget unit is the team that gathers the financial plans from all local government departments. It combines these separate plans into one composite budget. This single budget ensures all local offices work together, share money, and reach community goals at large.
The budget unit asks all local departments (like health, education, and public works) how much money they need to run their programs.The unit checks these requests against the rules of the Municipal assembly and national policies or laws and joins all departmental needs into one big financial document referred to as the Composite budget.
